My name is Megan, and I am the photographer at Horses, Hounds and Humans. I am located in Bright's Grove, Ontario, just outside of Sarnia and about one hour from London, Ontario.
So, what makes me different? What makes me qualified to be trusted with you and your family's photos?
I think it's about more than just having a fancy camera, although I do have a few of those! Personality and background count for a lot, too. I have a graduate degree in Public Administration, which really is applicable to photography.
What it means is that I am organized and appreciate procedure and planning. I value being prepared, and that means that I will put together shoot lists and research poses and locations before your photoshoot. I want to make sure that your day is beautiful and that as your photographer I don't bring you any extra stress by being disorganized.
Besides loving lists, I also have a bubbly personality! Education and experience mean that I work happily with a smile on my face and no drama.
When it comes to horses I have nearly a lifetime of experience. I have ridden and owned horses for about 30 years, including showing in dressage, eventing, and hunters, with some fun in team sorting and gaming, too. With the horses have always been dogs of all kinds.
The last thing you should know is that I love working with children, and have had good careers working with them. My favourite job with children was as a children's librarian, telling stories to two year olds. I loved working with them! And if I can keep their attention for 30 minutes, then there's a good chance I can keep other groups' attention, too.
I'd love to hear from you! Look around at the pictures, and let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for visiting!
